FNERA Ride Calendar 2026
Please check this page regularly for updates.
Payments for each ride will be taken via AeraOnline. All nominations are open 4 weeks before a ride and close 2 weeks before ride start date. Late nominations incur a $20 late fee however we encourage early nominations changed without incurring a late fee.

The committee reserves the right to cancel rides if insufficient numbers of nominations are received.
PIONEER TREK MARATHON - HV ONLY
1st May - 4th May 2026 – 3 ride days - 240km marathon, 120km mini marathon and 60km micro marathon, 80km, 60km elevator, 40km, 20km (each day)

KURANDA - HV ONLY
6th June - 7th June 2026 – 80km, 60km elevator, 40km, 20km​​

MT BALDY - HV ONLY
8th August - 9th August 2026 – 80km, 60km elevator, 40km, 20km

WETHERBY - HV ONLY
29th August - 30th August 2026 – 80km, 60km elevator, 40km, 20km

25th September - 28th September 2026 – 3 ride days - 80km, 60km elevator, 40km, 20km (each day)
Facilities
Tepon Equestrian Park has excellent facilities including (very) hot showers, powered sites, undercover arena and club rooms. Herberton township, and the Wondecla roadhouse are nearby for your personal purchases and horse supplies are available at Atherton and Malanda. This is a Glass Free Area.

Ride Schedule
Each ride has a Pre-Ride Vetting time the afternoon prior to the event. The Ride start times are indicated in the ride previews.
Camping Fee
A fee of $10/camp/night will be charged for camping.
Ride Fees
20km: $50 (day member $70)
40km: $75 (day member $95)
60km: $85 (day member $105)
80km: $135 (Gold Card $115)
Additional $25 fee per ride for NON FNERA members

Novice
Horse or Rider - Are deemed novice until successfully completed 2 x 40km rides.
Horse Health Declaration
The Ride Steward will need to see a copy of your horse's hendra vaccination certificate prior to being admitted to the ride base. It is good practice to always carry a copy of your horse's vaccination certificate when travelling.

Complete the Horse Health Declaration Form for 3 days prior to arriving at the ride base.
Dogs
If you bring a dog onto the grounds at any time, the dog MUST be on a leash at all times. Dogs are not permitted within the club house, riding arena or vetting area.
Horse Containment
Metal yards or electric fencing is permitted, but shall as a minimum, have 2 strands of tape, preferably white and a minimum of 1cm wide, with the top tape to be 1.2 to 1.4 metres above the ground. The posts used should be of substantial material (steel pickets) and installed so that the tape does not sag. The fence shall be energized at all times the horse is in the yard.
